Figs and Ginger... Eco-friendly Metal Smithing Inspired By Forests

UCU- What is your business and when did it form?
Figs and Ginger- Well, we make super cute, forest inspired jewelry and try to be nice to the earth while doing it. Rhonda (my attractive wife) and I (Elijah) run the business together. It's wonderfully fun and rewarding. For the past two years or so we've been able to make our living just off of Figs, but we've been working on this business for 4 or 5 years. It's hard to tell when it, "formed" because it just seems seamless with our life/marriage.

UCU- If you could have a super power what would it be?
Rhonda: The power to make chocolate non-fattening
Stacey (our studio manager): To run really fast without getting tired so I wouldn't have to drive.
Elijah: To be able to build robots that could do ANYTHING I wanted, you know like fly or shoot lasers or turn chocolate into anti-fat.

UCU- Favorite holiday memory?
Rhonda: Mom playing The Judds' Christmas album while trimming the tree.
Stacey: Hiding behind the couch to catch Santa but falling asleep instead.
Elijah: As a kid sipping my Grandma's wine thinking it was grape juice and spewing it all over the nicely set table.

UCU- Will you have a special $5 item for UCU's anniversary?
Ooh, I think so, but it's a secret. You'll just have to drop by our booth or follow us on Twitter @FigsandGinger to find out.

UCU- Got any new items you will be showcasing at the show?
Yup, cute little rings with forest creatures, a goose necklace, maybe some bunny families...oh man who even knows what will be new by then?
